Cookies

Every time I go to the kitchen to attempt to cook anything I have my little one on my leg going "Ah help you Mama" so we decided she could help daddy make cookies. She did very well, so now if she wants to help I give her a bowl with uncooked rice or a little flour and she will stir for hours!!!!!

Animals

I am officially HORRIBLE at posting. I has been so long since I posted I don't even know where to begin.......I feel like the summer is gone:-( Today I had to sign Emilia up for all her classes; she's only two and I have had to drive all around town to get her in the classes that we wanted for this fall, not to mention sitting in front of the computed waiting for the right minute to sign up for the Chicago Park District classes, which go like hot cakes if you don't do it right as registration opens!!!!!! I feel like I'm back in college trying to get into the right class!!!!!!!

Our summer has been great, Emilia is becoming quite the talker......her favorite characters are Dora and Diego and a few days back at Khols she found a stuffed animal that looks a lot like "baby Jaguar" (from Diego's show) so now this animal goes with her everywhere and all we hear in this house is "baby jaguar, baby jaguar, baby jaguar......" She seems to be turning into an animal lover, 4th of July we went to a party with pony rides and we could not get her away for the horses.











Ryan was very close by for safety and she kept saying "No daddy, no daddy" I guess she wanted to feel like a big girl!!!!!!

THE PHONE.......the phone is ringing!!!!!!!

Emilia loves to talk on the phone, specially to her daddy, so we got a special ringer for when he calls. This is what happens when the phone rings!!!!! It makes our day at home when daddy calls from work!!!!!!

St Patrick's

As always St. Pat's is a big deal in Chicago.....we celebrated at our Irish friends with a great Irish style brunch!!!!! I just thought it was kind of funny that the one kid that looks the most Irish is the half Colombian girl second from the right.

How we go out

I know all of you in warmer weather would get a kick out of the way we go out here......it takes us about 15 minutes to get this contraption all set up......this is not all, on top of this we put a plastic cover over the stroller to cut the wind. The good thing is that Emilia seems to like it!!!!

Life in Chicago

It has been a long time since we posted anything and I figure it was about time. The winter has been long and cold, so Emilia and I have been enjoying the many indoor activities that Chicago offers.....Museums have been our favorite lately. Here most of the museums have very cool kiddy areas.
